THE LEGAL STATUS OF CBD
Thanks to the general indifference of politicians and lawmakers regarding CBD, it can be hard to figure out what many want to know most about CBD, namely–is it legal. And to put it simply, when it comes to Mix Hemp CBD Oil at least, the answer is yes in all 50 states. That said, there are some distinctions that should be pointed out, especially as you first get acquainted with CBD Oil and CBD Oil products.
First thing’s first–not all CBD Oils are the same, with some being derived from cannabis plants and others from hemp plants. While cannabis and hemp are similar in many ways, they both differ on one thing: THC, aka the thing that gets you high. Cannabis is loaded with THC while hemp contains only trace amounts, meaning cannabis-derived CBD Oil can contain some THC and is therefore illegal in states where recreational and medical cannabis are still illegal.
Of course, because the legal status of recreational and medical cannabis in the US is in constant flux, the legal status of these products is subject to change pretty drastically in the next few years. It can be very hard to predict what these changes will look like given our current political landscape, but as of right now, all forms of CBD oil are completely legal in 8 states (Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington) and legal for medicinal use in 46 states (including the places we just mentioned).
